WowtoursIsrael is proudly led by Yoni Lemel, a licensed English-speaking Israeli tour guide.

Yoni is deeply passionate about Jewish history, tradition, and archaeology in the Land of Israel. He is also an avid reader of modern Israeli history.

On tours, he frequently highlights archaeological features that are referenced—or could plausibly be connected to—the Jewish Bible (Tanakh), Talmud, Midrash, or secular sources such as Josephus Flavius.

At the same time, Yoni is enthusiastic about Israel's vibrant modern side, from Tel Aviv's distinctive architectural styles to its world-class cuisine, winemaking, and contemporary culture and daily life.

Beyond history and culture, he has a profound appreciation for the Land's natural beauty—its geography, flora, and fauna. He believes that experiencing Israel outdoors, in its open landscapes, is a powerful and meaningful way for many Jews to connect with their eternal heritage.

En Avdat - One of the most stunning hidden gems of the Negev.
Mitzpe Revivim is one of the first Negev outposts created in 1943. Today, it is a museum that can be enjoyed by the whole family. This is a Douglas DC3 of the fledgling Israeli Air force in 1948.
Masada - After Jerusalem, Masada is the most popular destination for visitors to the Land of Israel.
Griffin Vulture - Previously an endangered species, now being reintroduced into the Carmel region.
Ibex - The Nubian ibex (Capra nubiana) is a desert-dwelling goat species commonly found in the Negev.

Tzippori, one of the most important excavated sites in the Land of Israel outside of Jerusalem, and the seat of the Sanhedrin mentioned so many times in the Talmud. It is where Rebbe, Rabbi Yehuda HaNasi canonised the Mishna (Oral Law) around 3 CE. When you go there you feel you are walking in his footsteps.
